So we started to collect papers from our local secondhand newspaper vendor in Kuwinda, who sells to us by the kilo.
Our Cracker Team got to work and developed the pattern and started cutting and folding.
took us a while to find the simplest way to make the bags using as many re-cycled components as possible, all apart from the glue which is non toxic.
The bags worked!!
The handles are made from material off-cuts too.
This year, we have
glued the off-cut christmas papers on the bags just to make them more fun and flashy.
We print a single colour logo with water based inks using a traditonal silk screen onto the bag.
The base of the bag, and the handle sides, are re-enforced
using card board, which helps to make them a little more durable - but they do not like the rain!
The bags are only for light weight items.
Minimum orders of 50 pieces.
Price per bag with a single colour print Ksh 350/=
bag maker is keen to receive orders!!
